Connie Retief completed his Diploma in Import Export Management, Cum Laude and received the Vice-Chancellors award for Academic Achievement and Top Honors for best Academic Performance across all the Departments. He was also appointed as Academic Advisor to his fellow students to instruct and help them with course related problems.

He has extensive experience in the Distribution Industry involving local as well as cross the borders logistics. Connie also held a top management position in an Import Company dealing in clothing and textiles and thus has a great understanding of the movement of products and commodities across the globe.

He has also traveled extensively across the world and lived in Taiwan for 2 years. He has great practical experience in Asian Cultures and Business.

Living his entire life in South Africa he has a profound knowledge of business and  cultural changes of every major country in the continent.

He is fluent in Afrikaans, English and has a great knowledge of Chinese Mandarin.

Hired in 2006 as a Junior Trader he has brought a entire new perspective and experience to GTCA and Costa Arena Staff.
